Economy & Trading

Everything in Albion is player-crafted and player-traded — understanding fees, orders and the Black Market is real silver.

Marketplace orders

  • Sell order = list an item and wait for a buyer; Buy order = post a price and wait for a seller (or instantly fill the best one).
  • Costs: 2.5% setup fee + sales tax 4% (Premium) or 8% (non-Premium) — roughly 9–13% total friction, so a flip must beat that to profit.

The Black Market (SELL-ONLY)

  • The Black Market is a Caerleon-only NPC that BUYS gear from players to supply mob/chest drops. You CANNOT buy from it — only sell to its buy orders.
  • Classic play: buy cheap crafted gear in the royal cities, then sell it to the Black Market's buy orders in Caerleon for profit.

Premium & risk

  • Premium (buyable with silver or gold, ~17M silver/month) gives +50% fame, +50% gathering, +100% farming, daily focus and an island.
  • Prices differ per city; hauling goods (Royal → Caerleon) earns margin but risks a full-loot death — factor transport risk into every trade.
